Welcome to the Access Panel Network homepage! Here you’ll find everything you need to know about the Access Panel Network in Scotland like what they do, where they are and how to contact them. Access Panels have been active for years, working tirelessly in their area to address access issues in the built environment. They also work towards improving social inclusion for disabled people and access in the broadest sense. The purpose of this website is to create a network for all Access Panels, providing the information, support and resources that will help them to deliver their aims & objectives.
Access Panels are groups of volunteers who work together to improve physical access and wider social inclusion in their local communities. As the umbrella body for Access Panels in Scotland Scottish Disability Equality Forum offer support and training opportunities to help Access Panels operate more efficiently, link together as a network and learn from each other.
SDEF administers the Access Panel Grant on a yearly basis to all Access Panels. This money is vital in ensuring the long term sustainability of the network and guarantees Panels can focus on improving access in their community. You can find out more about the Access Panel Grant by clicking here.
